The PF Olsen 2023 Top Crew Safety Award was presented to Ace of Spades for outstanding crew safety leadership and culture excellence.
AOS has displayed excellent crew safety leadership throughout 2023. Across multiple operations, the crew is always seen in PPE, they have great daily toolboxes and have formulated a culture with a strong work ethic and zeal.
The AOS crew leaders/supervisors have shown exceptional leadership by ensuring the safety and productivity of crew members, particularly in dynamically changing weather conditions. Their flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing circumstances underscore their commitment to the wellbeing of the team. The safety toolboxes are inclusive and foster an open environment where crew members actively contribute by identifying potential hazards and suggesting improvements. The positive atmosphere, marked by laughter and jokes is a testimaent to the crews strong sense of teamwork and dedication while completing the hard mahi. They are always open to feedback and find ways of improving their health and safety systems which is great to see. The crews working in King Country worked away from home for six months. Ace of Spades has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, a commitment to innovation, and a dedication to cultivating a culture of safety excellence within their organisation. Their efforts have contributed to a safer working environment for their crew and those working alongside them. It has been a pleasure to work with this crew in 2023 and excited to see how far the crew goes in 2024.
